Catch | Podcast Production & Marketing

Project Overview:

The goal of this project was to expand on the current children’s mental health information and resources available on the Catch website. By creating a podcast series, we hoped to reach a wider audience and offer a more accessible way to learn about these topics. After several solo episodes we eventually moved towards an interview format inviting leading experts to be interviewed on our show.

Process:

  • Positioning & Marketing Strategy: Collaborated with host Janet Morrison to define the podcast’s positioning, name, and overall focus.

  • Podcast Branding: Developed the look and feel for the podcast including the show artwork and social media templates.

  • Content Planning: Assisted with topic research, content planning, and identifying guest experts for interviews.

  • Production and Editing: Scheduled, recorded, and edited each episode, ensuring high-quality content delivery.

  • Distribution and Show Notes: Uploaded episodes and crafted detailed show notes to summarize key takeaways for listeners.

  • Content Repurposing: Repurposed podcast content into various formats for social media, newsletters, and other promotional channels.

Deliverables:

  • Podcast strategy, series name and artwork

  • Podcast marketing plan to reach a broader audience

  • Monthly show production and episode release

  • Social media content and newsletter promotion

Outcome:

Catch-Up On Kids Mental Health was voted the number one podcast on the topic children’s mental health in 2023. The podcast has had over 12,000 listens across 50 episodes. With notable guest experts and important discussions on mental health and wellbeing, the series has become a valuable resource in children’s mental health education. It’s success has helped Catch engage with a wider audience and grow its online presence.
